i ka 'olelo no ke ola: words bring life, words heal.
In order for words to bring life and to heal, we must understand their meaning and usage.
- Aloha - Love, greeting, farewell
- Ho'omakaukau - Get ready, prepare
- Ho'okanaka - Live your worth
- Ho'okala - Forgiveness, release
- Ho'omana - Empowerment
The prefix ho'o indicates action. All action should start from a place of love. Love readies or prepares us to act. In all our actions, we should be living our worth. What we contribute to our communities, including our families, should be our best. in the living of life, we will encounter conflict. We will need to forgive, from deep within ourselves and release the hurt. When we do this, we restore balance, and we can live empowered.
